Candle Care & Tips

Warning! To prevent fire and serious injury:

Keep burning candles away from drafts, vibrations, and flammable objects.

Keep burning candles out of reach from children and pets.

Never burn a candle on or near anything that can catch fire.

Burning instructions and tips:

Always keep the wick trimmed to 1/4″ to prevent the flame from being too high and creating black smoke.

Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.

Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface.

Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

Do not move the candle while it is burning or while the wax is hot.

The best way to extinguish a soy candle is to dip the wick into the liquid pool of wax and then straighten it upwards. This helps to eliminate smoke and prepares the candle for the next burn cycle. Never use the lid or water to extinguish the flame.

If somehow you get wax on your furniture or clothes, just use warm soap and water to clean it.

8oz. tins are the perfect size to fill an average size room. If you feel that you are unable to smell your candle, try walking out of the room and reentering. Also for extra large rooms, you may need to light 2 or more candles. Please note that soy candles give off the strongest scent once the melt pool has reached the outer edge of the container.

Soy Candle Memory:

When burning your candle for the first time, it is important to allow it to burn for at least 2-3 hours so that the melt pool reaches the edge of the container. This will help the candle avoid “tunneling” or burning straight down the center. Allowing your soy candle to create its initial “memory burn” will result in a complete burn and increased scent throw.
